ok.. please explain it to me. I relatively new here, but I just dont get half the posts here? Im a music composer and director, and use these boards to discuss my hobby; films and filmmaking...
I consider myself to have a good portion of humor, but some of the stuff here just goes beyond me. I simply cant help thinking that many posts here are just plain weird... am I alone?
and if not... wtf is going on?

It's no accident that this post by CHRISTIAN MARCUSSEN: <BLOCKQUOTE><font size=2 face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><table border="0" width="90%" bgcolor="#333333" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0"><tr><td width="100%"><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" bgcolor="#FF9900"><tr><td width="100%" bgcolor="#DDDDDD"><font size=2 face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">

had fetched, just 15 short minutes later, this post by DR. VON.F.:
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size=2 face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><table border="0" width="90%" bgcolor="#333333" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0"><tr><td width="100%"><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" bgcolor="#FF9900"><tr><td width="100%" bgcolor="#DDDDDD"><font size=2 face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> My opponent is a fan of Gomez Addams.

The filmmaking community, and those who aspire to gain admittance, is full of eccentric, outside-the-box thinkers. Get used to it. If such abnormal behavior is foreign to you, you either just got off the boat, or, perhaps, don't belong.
I'm not defending every whacko who roams about. But I do tolerate most of them. And recognize they are in fact very much necessary. I sometimes am one of them.
But only when I have to be.
And it's important to realize that just because something is different and strange doesn't necessarily mean it's gibberish - You just may not understand the point of what is being said. Or, it really is gibberish, and a lonely cry for attention.

there is a distinct difference between not making sense sometimes and just posting bullsh1t. You only need to look at the number of new threads this guy has started to see its not just some excentric but someone trying to bog the board down with aload of **** . Some people live very sad lives and they use the internet to entertain themselves by doing sad little things like this.

Seems to me that most of the Doc's posts have something in them.
GreatWarEAgles is right. Just, see what happens when mother mary, comes to you speaking words of wisdom.
Besides he hasnt verbally attacked anyone and he doesnt use smilies.
Just see his "History will judge us..." thread. Its better than most of the "top 5 horror/science fiction come new age slasher" polls.

Generic Skinhead is a legend.

I don't mind off-the-cuff-guff, but attention seeking idiots are, erm, idiotic. Eccentric/informative/humorous or otherwise.
Saying that though, his posts are more enjoyable than GREATwarEAGLE's bullsh|t-ridden "efforts". Stop spouting pseudo-intellectual hogwash, man. It's tiresome...
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size=2 face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><table border="0" width="90%" bgcolor="#333333" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0"><tr><td width="100%"><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" bgcolor="#FF9900"><tr><td width="100%" bgcolor="#DDDDDD"><font size=2 face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> outside-the-box thinkers </font></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></BLOCKQUOTE>
So circa 1992...

I take nothing personal on these message boards. Nobody should. We're all strangers here, living in different countries. Therefore I'm not gonna retaliate on Souljackers comment. It's his opinion, but I don't understand why it came as a personal attack.
I ask kindly, what are some other examples of my bullsh1t comments, out of curiosity.
Is what I just wrote one of them? I get the feeling you think I'm trying to be something I am not.
